Leather Tanning Technology Centre (LTTC)

The Leather Tanning Technology Centre (LTTC) is a unique and leading tanning technology centre in Egypt. The LTTC assists tanneries in developing and upgrading the techniques used in manufacturing and value-chains. LTTC copes with the latest technologies by developing and consolidating technical know-how to the leather sector in Egypt with the aim of innovatively enhancing design and quality standards, while uplifting skills to produce new trends and incubate innovative disruptions across the leather tanning industry.

The LTTC aims to assist tanneries in Robbiki Leather cluster to ensure the high quality production by providing numerous vocational and business services for industrial society and investors, including Quality Assurance and Accreditation services, Technical assistance, Testing, Technical Training, tanning chemical recipes, and Fault Diagnosis assistance. LTTC also provides logistical and licensing packages at the same place

Maintenance

The LTTC offers maintenance activities for cluster members and stakeholders. These services provide responsive and planned industrial and maintenance check-ups, to industrial machinery, equipment and production lines.

Testing

There are two testing laboratories: the physical and chemical lab. The two testing labs will carry out a wide range of tests on hides, skins and leather including:
1- Physical Tests
2- Chemical Test

Consulting, Training and Technical Assistance

LTTC teams provide its clients with different fault diagnosis services and packages to help develop and improve production techniques and consumer products, including: Failure Analysis and Leather Faults and problems. At the same time, training and technical assistance are provided through a wide array of training workshops and courses to numerous clients to enhance the understanding of the Leather Industry while providing comprehensive practical training on leather tanning.

Research and Development

LTTC offers its clients the opportunity to make trials with new chemicals as well as implementing new processes and techniques to help them create, innovate and produce new designs and products. Through a research and development centre all these activities are facilitated. At the same time, innovative approaches to manufacturing an design are also dissected and developed further.
